Middlesex County’s Pathways to Employment Success is a project of the Middlesex Workforce Development Partnership in support of local workforce attraction. With funding from the County of Middlesex and Province of Ontario, as well as assistance from partnering organizations, individuals who work in a variety of businesses across Middlesex were engaged in candid filmed interviews detailing their positions and workplaces.
The participants selected for this project vary in age, gender, educational background and occupation but are united by their decision to choose employment in Middlesex County. “Middlesex County offers a vast array of career opportunity,” says Cara Finn, Director of Economic Development for Middlesex County. “Business across the County are looking to hire and we are excited to strengthen the local economy by encouraging students to consider the broad range of employment pathways available here.”
The project allowed the participants to share their stories of finding employment in Middlesex County as well; they share tips and guidance for those currently in the process of finding a job like how to look for the best-suited employment opportunity for you. Middlesex County’s Pathways to Employment Success was made possible by the generous funding from the County of Middlesex and the Province of Ontario through a Rural Economic Development Grant. We would also like to thank our partnering organizations for their contributions, Middlesex Workforce Development Partnership, Middlesex County, Thames Valley District School Board, London Catholic District School Board, Community Employment Choices, Employment Sector Council, Community Futures Middlesex, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, and the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.
