The Township of Adelaide Metcalfe is located in north west Middlesex County. Adelaide Metcalfe has a population of 3,388 and an area of 331.25 sq. kms. The Township was formed on January 1, 2001 with the amalgamation of the Townships of Adelaide and Metcalfe. The township is just north of Strathroy and includes a busy commercial industrial corridor incorporating the interchange at highways 81 and 402.
The Township of Lucan Biddulph has a population of 5,221 and an area of 169.15 square kilometres. With its main population centre of Lucan located on Highway 4 and its southern border formed by Highway 7, Lucan Biddulph is a growing community strategically located just 15 minutes north of London, 15 minutes south of Exeter and 25 minutes southwest of Stratford. It was established on January 1, 1999, with the amalgamation of the Village of Lucan and the Township of Biddulph. Home to the 62.2 acres, fully serviced Lucan Industrial Park, Lucan Biddulph is a great place to start, grow and expand a variety of businesses. The Municipality of Middlesex Centre was formed on January 1, 1998 with the amalgamation of the Townships of Delaware, Lobo and London. Middlesex Centre has a population of 18,118 and an area of 588 square kilometres. Situated at the north and west limits of the City of London, Middlesex Centre is a growing community with urban and rural amenities. The municipal offices are located in the Hamlet of Coldstream.
The Village of Newbury has a population of just under 500 and is centrally located. This allows residents and businesses the benefits of a small community, while also providing them with easy access to larger centres such as London, Sarnia, Chatham and Windsor. Newbury is approximately a one-hour drive southwest of London, one hour southeast of Sarnia and 40 minutes and one and a half hours northeast of Chatham-Kent and Windsor, respectively.  Home to Four Counties Health Services a cluster of commercial businesses, and less than 15 minutes from Highway 401, Newbury features a quiet rural atmosphere while remaining connected to many urban services.
The Municipality of North Middlesex was formed on January 1, 2001 with the amalgamation of five municipalities:  the Townships of East Williams, West Williams and McGillivray, the Town of Parkhill and the Village of Ailsa Craig. The Municipality has a population of about 6,544 and is a unique mix of urban and rural. Located less than a 1-hour drive from both Sarnia and London, and approximately 15 minutes to the sandy beaches of Lake Huron and Pinery Provincial Park, North Middlesex offers many advantages to residents, business owners and visitors alike.
The Municipality of Southwest Middlesex was formed on January 1, 2001 with the amalgamation of the former Villages of Glencoe and Wardsville and the Townships of Ekfrid and Mosa. Southwest Middlesex has a population of approximately 5,924 and an area of 427.92 square kilometres The Municipality is located in the southwest corner of Middlesex County and sits conveniently between Highways 401 and 402 and approximately halfway between London and Chatham.
Strathroy-Caradoc has a population of around 21,679, is home to a variety of large multinational firms and has immediate access to Highway 402 allowing seamless connections to many major US markets via the Sarnia – Port Huron border. Located approximately a 30-minute drive west of London and less than 45 minutes east of Sarnia, Highway 402 also allows Strathroy-Caradoc easy connections to nearby Canadian markets. The CN and CP Railway services Strathroy-Caradoc, running between Toronto and Chicago. County Road 81 bisects Strathroy-Caradoc and connects to County Road 2 to the South and to County Road 22 and the Lake Huron Cottage Country to the North.
The Municipality of Thames Centre was formed on January 1, 2001 with the amalgamation of the former Townships of West Nissouri and North Dorchester. The Municipality has a population of approximately 13,759 and is situated at the east end of the County of Middlesex. Thames Centre borders London directly to the east, features easy access to the London International Airport and is located near the centre of Southwestern Ontario along highway 401 between highways 402 and 403. This strategic access to the 401 allows residents and businesses easy access to London, Woodstock, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, Toronto and the central and eastern United States.
